WEST AUSTRALIAN Based Caratti is one of Australia’s top young drivers and joins Opes Prime Team BRM fresh from the cut-and-thrust international competition of the tough European Formula Renault scene.
Caratti finished on the podium on more than one occasion in his first season of ‘wings and slicks’ open wheelers following three seasons in the competitive Australian Formula Ford Championship – where he was more often than not firmly entrenched inside the top five or six.
The Quietly spoken native of Perth joins Opes Prime Team BRM as one of the best young Aussie talents for the future, and more than ready to find himself as the winner of the Kumho Tyres Australian Formula 3 Championship for the CAMS Gold Star – following in his brothers successful (2005) footsteps.

Completing Opes Prime Team BRM’s cosmopolitan Commonwealth of drivers, Irishman Lee Farrell will steer the teams’ National Class entry in 2008 – continuing the teams’ strong reputation of having winning cars in each class of the Formula 3 championship.
Farrell has experience in Formula Ford and also the Asian F3 series and has plenty of experience to draw on when it comes to hustling the ’04 car around Australia’s tracks in the chase of the National Classes’ major prizes.
This year is about learning the ropes and winning the National Class – because next year Lee want’s to be in an outright drive to win the major championship.
